Bloom accepts submissions of previously unpublished flash fiction, short fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry.

We are always open for general submissions, and we periodically request themed submissions which we announce here and on our social media platforms.

For fiction and creative nonfiction, we ask that you submit one piece per email. You may submit 1-3 poems together in one email.

We accept simultaneous submissions, but please note that in your email and notify us immediately if your piece is accepted for publication elsewhere.

All submissions should be sent directly to editor@bloom-journal.com. We accept all formats that are compatible with MS Word as well as Google Drive links. Please do not put your name anywhere on your attachments.

We reject AI. You can read more about that here.

Bloom does not pay at this time. Related, we don’t charge submission or reading fees.

Upon acceptance, writers will need to submit a photo of themselves and a blurb.
